he encontrado una manera de hacer esto. En mi caso, estoy utilizando xml como fuente de datos para el árbol. Estoy vinculando el evento open_node al jstree de la siguiente manera. Tenga en cuenta que, aunque estoy utilizando xml, la estructura interna es la de los datos html.
