Tracé tu error un poco ... Mirando hacia abajo en el código fuente de Froyo, en frameworks/base/media/libmedia/mediaplayer.cpp, todo se reduce a esta función. En este punto, al parecer, el argumento es NULL player

que vino de la función status_t MediaPlayer::setDataSource(const char *url, const KeyedVector<String8, String8> *headers) del mismo archivo, donde fue capaz de crear una instancia del IMediaPlayerService, pero el método create debe haber fallado por alguna razón ..

Una cosa del Android doc: Cuando haya terminado con MediaPlayer, debe llamar a release(), para liberar los recursos. Si no se lanza, demasiadas instancias de MediaPlayer pueden dar como resultado una excepción.

Tal vez deberías verificar que la función createMediaPlayer se llame solo una vez? Supongo que habría fallado también con Eclair, pero puede ser vale la pena analizar ...

que experimentaron la misma error con mi código MediaPlayer Tuve varios resultados reproduciendo un archivo test.ogg simple ubicado en el directorio sin formato. Mis AVD's pudieron reproducir el archivo, SE Xperia Mini Pro reprodujo el sonido, pero mi Samsung SII colapsó usando el sencillo código a continuación.

he probado aún más la reproducción del archivo través de la red local con los resultados esperados para los dos teléfonos (SE reproduce el archivo y Samsung no podía jugar). Esto significa que las diferentes versiones de Android no pueden reproducir el mismo sonido y necesita usar un formato diferente de audio.

Si el teléfono no puede reproducir el archivo de forma nativa, la única solución para mí es volver a muestrear el audio.
