Problema al instalar RVM para RoR en Ubuntu

Question

Estoy intentando instalar Ruby on Rails en mi nueva instalación de eeeubuntu y creo que tengo algunos problemas para instalar RVM correctamente.

Instalé GIT, y todo salió bien. He instalado RVM y en el instalarlo me dijeron añadir

Para el final de Bashrc cual hice.

Luego, dijo que si tengo un retorno en .bashrc podría causar errores. Por lo que dijo a continuación mover todo

en .bash_profile cual hice. Cuando intento ejecutar "rvm install 1.9.1" obtengo esto

Usted no necesita moverse, pero para eliminar el return.

También necesita agregar algún código al .bashrc. Lo ha agregado al .bash_profile pero no al .bashrc. La línea que debe agregar es

if [[ -s /home/derek/.rvm/scripts/rvm ]] ; then source /home/derek/.rvm/scripts/rvm ; fi 

¡Lea atentamente las instrucciones del instalador! No estoy seguro de si había otras cosas que necesita agregar.

he añadido a .bashrc export PATH=~/.rvm/bin:$PATH y funcionó para mí

En mi ubuntu lo hice

echo 'source "$HOME/.rvm/scripts/rvm"' >> $HOME/.bashrc 

Así que mi .bashrc se parece a esta
